40-year-old Haresh Panchal was on Thursday arrested for murdering his own brother-in-law, Dilip in cold blood. What is even more shocking is that he did so, on the explicit instructions of the victim’s wife, his wife’s cousin, Shilpa Panchal. The dead body of Dilip, Shilpa’s husband was found near Jagatpur in Sola with his throat slit on Wednesday evening.
The matter came to light when police launched an investigation into Dilip’s murder. A team led by inspector VR Malhotra was able to crack the case with nothing other than the CCTV footage of a motorcycle, said crime branch ACP Shankar Chaudhary. At present, both Haresh and Shilpa have been arrested and handed over to the Sola police station for the murder of Shilpa’s husband Dilip.
