7th Pay Commission: Minimum Pay of Rs 26,000, Fitment Factor of up to 3.68 Times in August?

7th Pay Commission Latest News: Over 50 lakh Central Government employeesand an equivalent number of retirees, who are waiting for the Centre to announce a hike in the minimum pay and fitment factor beyond 7th Pay Commission recommendations, may get a good news in August, as per reports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is expected to make a declaration about a hike of up to Rs 8,000 in the minimum pay and up to 3.68 times in fitment factor for the Central Government employees on Independence day, August 15. If the hike is announced then the minimum pay of the Central Government employees will reach up to Rs 26,000.

Meanwhile, reports have been doing rounds that the Central Government employees will get a hike in the dearness allowance (DA). The move is likely to benefits around 61 lakh pensioners and approximately 48.41 lakh central government employees. The news has provided firmness to the hopes of the Central Government employees who are looking forward to an announcement by the Centre about a hike in minimum pay and fitment factor beyond recommendations of 7th Pay Commission.
