The Supreme Court on Monday said there cannot be any "blanket ban" on holding protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and Boat Club near the India Gate. The verdict came in response to several petitions, including one that challenged the National Green Tribunal’s last year’s decision to ban all protests at these places, saying such activities violate environmental laws.
