Last year in July, we had reported that Tata Motors was rumored to temporarily shelf the Racemo sports car project due to its high cost and lower returns in favor of using the same investments to give a boost to its currently ailing commercial vehicle segment. While these were just rumors at the time, it seems the company is indeed going ahead and shutting down the Racemo sportscar project has come to an abrupt end only after a year since it made its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Tata Motors had also showcased the Racemo sportscar in its standard and electric version at the 2018 Auto Expo.
