PM Modi to visit Odisha on May 26

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on May 26 on the occasion of the BJP government at the Centre completing four years in office.

BJP’s Odisha-in-charge Arun Singh on Saturday informed that the Prime Minister will address a public meeting at Bali Jatra ground in Cuttack during his one-day visit.

“Modi will complete four years on May 26 and has decided to visit Odisha on the occasion. He will talk to the people and give them details of the BJP government’s achievement in the last four years,” he added.

State unit President Basant Panda said the Prime Minister will highlight the pro-people as well as developmental schemes and policies of the BJP government at the Centre.

The BJP is trying to strengthen its base in the state to oust Naveen Patnaik government, which has been in power for the last 18 years. Odisha will face both assembly and general elections in 2019.

Meanwhile, the BJP on Saturday held its office bearer meeting at the party office, where several senior leaders of the party including Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended.
