She won the National award for cinematography for her debut film `KuttySrank’ at the 57th National Film awards. The film also had the distinction of being the first in Malayalam language to be shot by a woman. An alumnus of FTII is the only woman till date to win the National Film Award for Best Cinematography.
She was honored with INDIAN WOMEN ACHIEVERS AWARD by the President of India on January 20, 2018 at New Delhi.
