Indian First Ladies-Flying Officer AvaniChaturvedi – IAF’s first batch of female fighter pilots

Her flying experience in the flying club of her college inspired her to join IAF. Flying Officer, AvaniChaturvedi hails from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. She joined IAF training in Jan 2015 and has since then flown the Pilatus PC-7 Mk II ac and Kiran ac before being commissioned into the fighter stream in June, 2016 as one of the first batch of three women officers who were selected for training as fighter pilots. She has successfully completed one semester of training on the Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer and will be placed as the frontline fighter squadron of the IAF shortly.
