Lucknow, Jan 16: Deputy Chief Minister and minister for secondary education Dinesh Sharma on Tuesday said that all the Uttar Pradesh schools and colleges will be installed with WiFi this year. Speaking with Zee News, Sharma also said that CCTV cameras will also be installed in all the educational institutions to keep a check on cheating during exams. Sharma also revealed that study sessions in all the schools will now begin from April 1 instead of July 1.
In September 2017, the state government had announced that it would to allow only CCTV-equipped to become examination centres in an attempt to curb cheating during exams.”Only the schools which are equipped with CCTV cameras will be allowed to become board examination centres,” Dinesh Sharma had said.
Sharma also said that from next session, the examination centres will be decided through a transparent online process. This is being done so that no allegations are levelled.
