New Delhi, Dec 28: The Jawaharlal Nehru University has declared that attendance will be compulsory for students from the winter semester from January 2018 onwards. A circular to this effect was issued on December 22, 2017. But students and some faculty members have expressed their disappointment over the decision which according to them is against JNU’s tradition.
The circular stated that for students who have registered themselves in the winter semester 2018 programmes must attend the classes. It was also mentioned that more details regarding the minimum attendance percentage needed will be circulated later.
