New Delhi, Dec 25: Two bike-borne assailants snatched mobile phone from Eenam Gambhir, India’s First Secretary in the Permanent Mission of India to the UN in national capital’s Rohini area, on the pretext of asking directions. The incident took place on Saturday night when Gambhir was out for a post-dinner walk with her mother.
At around 11:30 PM, when Eenam and her mother reached Vatsalya Mandir near their residence, two assailants on a motorcycle arrived and started asking them the address of a Hanuman temple. Talking about the incident, Indian Foreign Service officer’s father Jagdish Kumar Gambhir, said that the iphone had a US-registered SIM card and contained crucial documents.
