Ranchi, Dec 24: Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav is lodged in Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Jail after being convicted in the one of the cases linked to the multi-crore rupee Fodder Scam. Lalu, inmate number 3351, has been kept in the upper division of VIP ward of the jail.
Jail authorities said Lalu was served roti, palak (spinach) in dinner. Lalu was visibly disturbed and didn’t interact with other inmates in his ward. Lalu was sleepless on the first night of his latest jail stint. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief was given tea and biscuits on Sunday morning. Lalu will not be allowed to meet anyone today as visitors are not allowed in jail on Sunday.
