New Delhi, Dec 21: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday came down hard at the state government over failing to provide security for an event which was to be held on New Year’s eve. Bollywood star Sunny Leone was also scheduled to attend the event.
Questioning the Bengaluru Police’s decision to deny permission to the organisers of the event, Justice B Veerappa asked the police department about steps taken to ensure law and order in the capital city during New Year celebrations.
“Why are you blocking Sunny Leone’s event while. Such kind of discrimination is not right. What action have you taken to maintain law and order in the city during New Year,” Justice Veerappa said.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar had denied permission for a New Year bash in the city where Sunny was invited to perform.
