New Delhi, Nov 16: The Environment Pollution Control Authority on Thursday issued direction withdrawing orders that were put in place in view of severe air pollution in Delhi. The EPCA has issued a direction on removing ban on the entry of trucks in the national capital. The ban on construction works has also been removed. The four-time hike in parking fees has been withdrawn.
The Delhi government has put the above measures in place to bring down pollution levels in the national capital after PM 2.5 and PM 10 reached ‘hazardous’ levels.
This came after Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday claimed that the level of particulate material has declined further. He said this decline was a consequence of the measures taken by the implementing agencies and due to improving weather conditions.
