Manish Sisodia on #GST: It will be another economic disaster after note ban if it doesn’t address traders’concerns

Manish Sisodia on Tuesday hit out at the Centre saying that if GST talks don’t address traders’ concerns then it will be yet another economic disaster after note ban. In an conversation with CNBC TV 18, Sisodia said, "Centre has no answers to queries of traders on GST. Deadlines are important for GST roll-out but ambiguity remains". The main focus, according to Sisodia, needs to be on the traders who will be impacted and not the implementation deadline.

Delhi: Umar Khalid’s event at Ramjas College called off after ABVP protests

Delhi University’s Ramjas College called off an event on Tuesday after members of Delhi University Student’s Union (DUSU) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) protested against JNU student-activist Umar Khalid who was one of the speakers at the event. The seminar organised by Literary Society of Ramjas was looking into exploring representations of dissent in literary productions. Khalid who was scheduled to speak on ‘The War in Adivasi Areas’ eventually cancelled his participation.

Murder caught on camera: CCTV footage shows Delhi man being shot dead in broad daylight

A 23-year old man was allegedly shot dead by two bike borne assailants in south-west Delhi’s Najafgarh area on February 19. The incident, which took place in broad daylight, was caught on CCTV camera. According to reports the victim was returning home on a two-wheeler along with his friend after playing cricket, when two men in another motorcycle stopped in front of him. The video shows a man wearing a pink-colored shirt getting down from the motorcycle and firing a bullet into the victim’s head. As the victim fell down from the scooter, the shooter fired two more shots at the victim.

Smriti Irani’s board exam results not to be inspected, rules Delhi High Court

The Central Board of Secondary Examination had moved the court, arguing that the marksheets were ‘personal information’.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday stayed the Central Information Commission’s order asking the Central Board of Secondary Examination to allow Union minister Smriti Irani’s Class 10 and 12 board exam records to be examined, ANI reported. The court’s order was based on a petition filed by the educational board, which had said that the records were "personal information".

अभी हरी नगर संयुक्त लेबर आयुकर के कार्यालय में फर्जी श्रमिक कार्ड बनाने का मामला सामने आया है । यूनियन नेता कुछ लोगो के श्रमिक कार्ड बनाने पहुचे और वहाँ जा कर हंगामा किया । मौके पर जा कर पता किया कि यूनियन के नेता ने लोगों से पैसे के एवज में श्रमिक कार्ड बनाने का वादा किया था। सयुंक्त लेबर आयुक्त ने इसे गंभीरता से लिया और सब लोगो की परेशानी को सुना और मामले की जाँच करते हुये पुलिस को बुला कर इस फर्जीवाड़ा का खुलासा किया और हरी नगर थाना इस फर्जीवाड़ा की FIR दर्ज कराई गई अभी मौके पर पुलिस अपनी कार्यवाही कर रही है ।
