CBI visits #Delhi government info department, Manish Sisodia attacks PM Modi

A CBI team on Thursday visited Delhi government’s Directorate of Information & Publicity to collect documents pertaining to inquiry against Manish Sisodia in alleged irregularities in the ‘TalktoAK’ campaign, following which the Deputy Chief Minister attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The agency sources said the team went to the DIP, headed by Sisodia, only to collect documents regarding the program.

Jallikattu protesters keep up pressure, govt mulls options

Protests demanding jallikattu swelled on the streets of Tamil Nadu after agitators rejected statements by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and the state braced for a shutdown tomorrow. Late night reports indicated that the state government could consider promulgating an ordinance to ensure holding of jallikattu or convene the Assembly for adopting a resolution in its favour. In a virtual replay of the anti-Hindi agitation of 1960s, lakhs of students and youths took leadership of the peaceful protests across the state, while agitators in Madurai, the main area which has been hosting jallikattu sport for centuries, stopped trains pressing for their demand.

LG Anil Baijal instructs Traffic Police to decongest city’s roads

Instructing Delhi Traffic Police and other stake holders to decongest the city’s roads, Lt Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday ordered setting up of special task force for intelligent traffic management system in the capital and also emphasised on new uniform parking policy. The Lt Governor also directed concerned agencies to remove unauthorised parking and encroachments under flyovers and u-turns of roads and beautify them.
