In reply to EC, @ArvindKejriwal says make me brand ambassador against graft

Days after the Election Commission censured him for asking Goa voters to accept bribes from BJP, but vote for AAP, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal has written to the poll panel that his statement was aimed at "curbing corruption". Seeking a review of the matter, Kejriwal has also gone on to propose to the EC that it could consider making him its "brand ambassador" to curb bribery. At an election rally in Goa, Kejriwal had told the audience that "if the BJP offers money for votes, take it, but vote only for the jhaadu (AAP symbol)." Following complaints, the EC issued a notice to Kejriwal, censuring him.

Deposit rates are untenable, will have to be cut in future: SBI chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya

The State Bank of India chairperson, Arundhati Bhattacharya on Monday said "SBI hasn’t survived for 211 yrs by ignoring competition. Have huge collaboration; don’t just rely in branches." She was at Mint Conclave. Bhattacharya said SBI has opened 50, 000 -70, 000 accounts in a day before note ban; 89 lakh accounts after the ban. She also talked about giving boost to credit growth with excess deposits in hand. She said that banks have been conservative on deposit rates. "Want to give fillip to credit growth with excess deposits in hand, have been conservative on deposit rates," she said.

Kejriwal self-proclaimed Chief Justice of Indian politics: BJP

By asking voters to accept bribe, Kejriwal is instigating the people towards corruption, BJP spokesman Sambit Patra said.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is a "self-proclaimed Chief Justice of Indian politics", the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today said as it accused him of denigrating credibility of the Election Commission and the voting process by his bribery remarks.
