University of Birmingham to Start Three-Week Technical English Training Course For Indian Engineering Students

The University of Birmingham is set to start a three-week free online training in the English language for the engineering students across India. Birmingham’s new MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) is based on real first-year modules at the University, the University said in a press release.

The University’s Electrical Engineering: Sensing, Powering and Controlling aims to support the engineering students in mastering some of the technical terms concepts in Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering.

“This is a great opportunity for students whose first language is not English to brush up their language skills and get to grips with the key terms and concepts associated with engineering. The course will be delivered in English to help students to gradually develop their language skills,” Jackson said.

The content will help to all the students who plan to study and admission in any engineering discipline. Developed by the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, the three-week course will run from November 15.
