RPF Recruitment 2017: Employment Notice of 19,952 Vacancies in Indian Railways is Fake, Confirms Southern Railway

New Delhi, Aug 26: The Southern Railways today clarified that the employment notice of 19,952 job vacancies in Railway Protection Force (RPF) that has been circulating on social media is fake. Earlier in the day, a seven-page recruitment notice was being circulated which contained a number of vacancies for SC, ST, OBC and general category candidates in the Indian Railways.

Issuing a notice that the news is fake, the Southern Railways said, “The notification found under circulation is fake and has not been issued by security directorate, railway board or any of the chief security commissioners mentioned therein, as clarified by chief security commissioner, Southern Railway,” adding, “Circulation of such fake employment notices will misguide the public and gullible candidates.”

The statement also said that the general public should not respond to the notice or circulate it.

The employment news offered a salary of Rs 5200-20,200 to the applicants with Rs 2000 as grade pay. The employment notice contained 8901 seats for general category candidates. For Scheduled Caste candidates, the notice said, 3317 seats are vacant and Scheduled Tribe can apply for 3363 seats. For candidates in OBC category, 4371 seats are lying vacant, according to the fake notice.
