Adityanath holds meeting with doctors at Gorakhpur hospital, Cong demands Rs 1 crore compensation for victims

A day after the Uttar Pradesh government suspended the principal of a medical college in Gorakhpur following the deaths of at least 30 children since August 10, chief minister Yogi Adityanath – who represented the eastern city for almost two decades in Parliament – visited the hospital to take stock of the situation.

Union health minister JP Nadda also visited the Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital in Gorakhpur on Sunday.

The deaths of the children shocked India and triggered a political blame game.
