Last Date For Income Tax Filing Online at Incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

New Delhi, July 31: Income tax returns will have to be filed on or before July 31. Punitive actions could be taken against defaulters. The I-T department has said there would not be any extension as to the last date for filing the income tax return. According to senior officers, over 2 crore returns have been filed electronically.  The return can be filed by logging on to www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. However, the big question is, what if the income tax return is not filed in time? What kind of notices can the department send to defaulters?
