Vinod Khanna passes away at the age of 70 after battling cancer

Vinod Khanna breathed his last at a hospital in Girgaon, Mumbai on Thursday morning. The actor was 70. Khanna was admitted to the hospital on March 31. His elder son Rahul Khanna had stated that the actor was suffering from severe dehydration and that the situation was quickly brought under control. However, word had it that Khanna was getting treatment for cancer instead, especially after a picture of a visibly weak Vinod Khanna standing with his wife Kavita Khanna and son, Sakshi Khanna at the hospital went viral. However, his younger son Akshaye Khanna later spoke to an entertainment portal, where he said his father was doing well. So this piece of news of him passing away will definitely be a terrible shock to his many fans.

Vinod Khanna made his debut in 1968 in Sunil Dutt’s Man Ka Meet, where he played the villain, despite his natural good looks. He continued to play villains in movies like Purab Aur Paschim, Sachaa Jhutha, Aan Milo Sajna, and Mastana, with his most popular negative role being in Dharmendra’s Purab Aur Paschim, where he played a dacoit.
