The Income Tax Department raided a soap and dry fruit shop in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk and seized around ₹25-crore cash from over 100 private lockers in the basement of the shop. Preliminary investigations suggested the lockers belonged to gutkha traders, chemical traders and dry fruit traders, among others. The department carried out raids in at least eight locations across Delhi.
