Delhi MCD elections 2017: Polling time ends, turnout likely to cross 54 per cent

The polling time in the Delhi Municipal Corporation election ended at around 5:50 pm on Sunday. Around 46 per cent of votes were cast till 4 pm, as per PTI. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal questioned the State Election Commission over reports of EVMs malfunctioning in parts of the capital city. He also claimed that people with voter slips were turned away from polling booths. Speaking with news agency ANI, Kejriwal said: "Reports from all over Delhi of EVM malfunction, people with voter slips not allowed to vote. What is State EC doing?"
