MCD Elections 2017: Drainage issues, garbage, sanitation workers’ woes dominate battle for Sangam Vihar

New Delhi, April 18: A blue billboard with the name in capital letters ‘Neeraj Gupta, councillor, Sangam Vihar’ standing along the excavated road blocking traffic welcomes you to one of the biggest clusters of unauthorised colonies in Delhi, Sangam Vihar. A thorough visit to the area exposes oneself to the intertwined alleys of the colonies making the demarcation of MCD wards unclear but a common phenomenon that prevails across the four wards on South Delhi Municipal Corporation in the area is the huge underdevelopment accompanied with piles of filth and garbage making it unbearable to stand for more than few minutes.
