Indian First Ladies-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan- The first Indian actress to be a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, an actress, model and the winner of theMiss World 1994 pageant became the first Indian actress to be a jury member at theCannes Film Festival. Many firsts have been added to her long list of achievements including being the first Indian to appear on international shows like Late Show with David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey Show and Women acros the Globe hosted by Tyra Banks. She was also ranked as the most bankable Hollywood Star for India by Forbes 2008 and was the first amongst all Indian to feature in that list. Another first was the first woman to reach Siachen Glacier. She has established herself as one of the most popular and influential celebrities in India being associated with various charities like Smiletrain Foundation, UNAIDS, Cancer Patients etc. In the year 2009 she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India

She was honored with INDIAN WOMEN ACHIEVERS AWARD by the President of India on January 20, 2018 at New Delhi.
