She had taken up a tough job. Praveena Solomon is a crematorium manager of Chennai’s oldest and busiest cremation ground. She is responsible for the upkeep of crematorium. She also motivates other women in adding greenery to the premises and improving the environment in crematoriums.
She was honored with INDIAN WOMEN ACHIEVERS AWARD by the President of India on January 20, 2018 at New Delhi.
