Pune, Jan 17: A month after declaring a reduction in the pads percentage, law colleges affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Tuesday released results of law courses keeping the old criteria. The law colleges of SPPU had reduced the pass percentage from 50 per cent to 40 per cent. The students of the colleges on Tuesday alleged discrepancies in the declared result.
A group of law students on Tuesday submitted a letter to Vice-Chancellor Dr Nitin Karmalkar seeking new rules be applied and results to be declared with revised marks and percentage. The students also sought the VC’s intervention in the matter.
A student told Indian Express that the law students were extremely happy when they came to know about the reduction of pass percentage. “However, when the old rule was applied and results were declared, we were shocked,” he said.
