Dalit Protest Spread to Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat; UP on High Alert

Mumbai, Jan 5: The backlash over the Bhima Koregaon violence in Maharashtra’s Pune reached Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat on Thursday with incidents of arson and stone-pelting being reported in some parts of the two states. In view of escalating protests, a high alert has been sounded in states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. The law and enforcement agencies have been directed to take all preventive measures to prevent any untoward incident or mob violence, reports Zee News.
