Massive Propaganda Against UPA Was Without Any Foundation: Manmohan Singh on 2G Verdict

New Delhi, Dec 21: Former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Thursday said that the court verdict in 2G case has put an end to “propaganda” against the UPA. “We respect the court’s verdict. I’m glad that the court has pronounced that the massive propaganda against UPA was without any foundation,” Singh said soon after the CBI court acquitted all accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case.

The 2G case had dented the image of Singh, who was attacked by the opposition as a “silent prime minister” who silently let corruption float during the UPA rule. However, Judge OP Saini on Thursday acquitted all accused including former telecom minister A Raja and DMK leader Kanimozhi and even said, “The prosecution has miserably failed to prove any charge against any accused.” (Explained: What is 2G Scam)
