Nobody Kills Even An Animal in That Manner, Says Wife of Muslim Man Hacked in Rajasthan

Kolkata, Dec 10: Days after the killing of 47-year-old Mohammed Afrazul shook the nation, his wife Gulbahar Bibi said the incident has left the entire family in trauma. Bibi said her daughters- Joshnara, 25, Rejina, 21, and Habiba, 17- had sleepless nights after the brutal killing took place on Wednesday in Rajasamand in Rajasthan. Revealing her ordeal, he went to Rajasthan to support the family.

“Whenever I close my eyes, I see him being killed… I hear his cries. My youngest daughter tries to sleep, but she wakes up screaming. Nobody kills even an animal in that manner,” The Indian Express quoted Bibi as saying.

Showing ignorance about the phenomenon of love jihad, Afrazul’s brother said he never expected such brutality. He emphasised they are migrant labourers who had to leave their villages to support their families.

“I brought back the body of my brother… We were working as labourers in Rajasthan for so many years. We never thought we would encounter such brutality. We don’t understand what is ‘love jihad’. My brother was a married man with daughters and grandchildren,” said brother Mohammed Room Khan.

Demanding justice for her father, Rejina said the culprits must be hanged.  The incident has also triggered fear among other families too. They have called their relatives to come back home to prevent such incidents.
