Gujarat Polls: Do Not Use Derogatory Words For PM Modi, Says Rahul Gandhi to Party Workers

New Delhi, Dec 10: Congress President-Designate Rahul Gandhi on Sunday schooled party workers and asked them to not use derogatory words against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a rally in Gujarat’s Dakor, Gandhi said the Congress workers should put their opinions in a gentle manner. The comments of Nehru-Gandhi Scion comes in wake of “neech” remark by suspended Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar.

“Dekhiye galat shabd ka prayog mat kariye woh PM hain, aap congress party ke ho, pyaar se baat kariye, meethe shabd prayog karo aur bhagao unko (You should not use derogatory words. He is our prime minister, You belong to Congress party and always use decent words and oust him from power.)” said Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi had earlier also detested the remarks used by Aiyar. He had said the Congress does not support the language used by veteran Congress leader. “BJP and PM routinely use filthy language to attack the Congress party. The Congress has a different culture and heritage. I do not appreciate the tone and language used by Mr Mani Shankar Aiyer to address the PM. Both the Congress and I expect him to apologise for what he said,” Gandhi had tweeted.
