Pradyuman Murder: Ashok Kumar Returns Home, Wife Says ‘he Was Tortured by Police’

New Delhi, Nov 23: Ashok Kumar, the bus conductor, who was arrested on allegations of murdering 7-year-old Pradyuman Thakur at Ryan International School, Gurugram, was released on bail on Wednesday. While Ashok thanked the media after he returned home, he said he was in a lot of pain. His wife claimed that he was tortured by the police while he was in custody.

“Police beat him up, hung him upside down, tortured him and even sedated him to make him confess that he killed Pradyuman,” said Ashok’s wife while speaking to news agency ANI.

Ashok was released on bail from Gurugram’s Bhondsi jail on Wednesday evening. This came after the Gurugram District Court on Tuesday granted bail to him with a Rs 50,000 security bond. Ashok got bail days after the Central Bureau of Investigation apprehended a Class XI student of the same school alleging he murdered Pradyuman.
