Delhi: These 40 Public Services Available at Your Doorstep

New Delhi, November 16: In a first of its kind, the Delhi government on Thursday announced that it would roll out a scheme within three to four months to enable citizens to get 40 public services at their doorstep. The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“This is historic. First of its kinds in the country. It could become possible only because people voted honest government. Now no more middlemen, no speed money. Congrats Delhi,” Kejriwal tweeted.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the government would hire a private agency to implement the scheme. “Mobile Sayak (facilitators) will be hired through the agency that would set up call centres,” Sisodia said.

Here is the list of services:

Government services

  1. OBC certificate/SC certificate/ST certificate
  2. Domicile certificate
  3. Income certificate
  4. Delayed birth order
  5. Death death order
  6. Lal Dora certificate
  7. Land status report
  8. Permanent identity card to disabled person
  9. Issuance of ROR
  10. Solvency certificate
  11. Surviving member certificate
  12. Marriage registration
  13. Enrolment as civil defence volunteer

Services in transport department

  1. Duplicate RC
  2. Change of address in RC
  3. Transfer of ownership of vehicle
  4. Hypothecation addition
  5. Hypothecation termination
  6. Issuance of NoC
  7. Learner’s licence
  8. Permanent driving licence
  9. Renewal of driving licence
  10. Duplicate driving licence
  11. Change of address in driving licence

Services in social welfare department

  1. Delhi family welfare
  2. Delhi family benefit scheme
  3. Handicapped pension scheme
  4. Old age pension scheme

Ration department

  1. Issuance of priority household cards
  2. Updation of member details in different cards

Delhi jal board services

  1. New water connection
  2. New sewer connection
  3. Mutation
  4. Reopening after rebuilding of house etc
  5. Disconnection of water supply

Services in labour department

  1. Registration of construction workers under building construction worker act
  2. Renewal of registration under building construction worker act

Women and child department

  1. Widow pension scheme
  2. Financial assistance to poor widow for daughter’s marriage

Law and Justice department

  1. Marriage licence to solemnised marriages between Indian Christians

In the second phase, 30 more services will be added to the scheme, he said.
