The Supreme Court on Monday approved a proposal submitted by the Union of India (UOI) to colour-code vehicles in New Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) according to the fuel they run on, in an effort to help counter air pollution.
The apex court ruling allows for blue stickers to be used for vehicles running on petrol and CNG, and orange stickers for diesel vehicles. However, it clarified that this would only be applicable in Delhi and NCR.
The Centre had earlier, in its proposal, suggested that the new hologram-based colour-coded stickers be used on motor vehicles to identify cars running on polluting fuels.

Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has issued an order asking madrasas in the state to hoist national flag and chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai on the Independence Day, August 15. The state government reportedly said the order was issued to inculcate patriotism among students.
Speaking on the issue, a Uttar Pradesh minister said every Indian must chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai. “They will have to say Bharat Mata ki Jai. Every Indian should be chanting it. Such orders have been issued in past too,” the minister told a news channel, adding that the government wasn’t testing their patriotism.
Last year, a similar order was issued ahead of the Independence Day wherein the state government asked all madrassas to hoist the national flag at 8:00 am, followed by National Anthem. It also asked them to record videos to prove that the Independence Day was celebrated.
The order had come under criticism as many see it as an attempt to not only test patriotism of minorities but also to force them to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

Simone’s boyfriend died tragically while they were in a long-term relationship and has been visiting her at night ever since. Speaking to New Zealand radio show The Edge, the woman said: “I get some good sensations.” She told the hosts Jono Pryor and Sharyn Casey, “I was in a long-term relationship and unfortunately he passed away. But yeah, he still visits me every now and then and lets me finish, I suppose.”
The radio presenters had asked listeners to call in if they had ever had any experiences with ghosts. Explaining her own encounter, Simone said, “Well I just sort of know he’s there. I get some things, you know some little notes to know he’s in the room. And then you know, I get a bit excited and he comes closer and closer.” After being asked if she was sure it was not a dream, Simone responded: “No, I’m definitely sure it’s him.” She clarified that the intimacy involved ‘no kissing’ but ‘some sensations’. The host said he honestly had no words.
The call came after a UK woman claimed this week she’s also in a serious and sexual relationship with a ghost she met in Australia. Amethyst Realm, 30, a spiritual guidance counsellor, says she’s had over 20 sexual relationships over the past 11 years and recently met her true ghostly love in Australia.
