An Indonesian shaman has been arrested for allegedly keeping a young woman as a sex slave in a cave for 15 years.
The woman, known as “H”, was kidnapped aged just 13, but found after a tip-off from locals, the BBC reported.
Police said the 83-year-old brainwashed her into having sex with him by pretending he was inhabited by the spirit of her boyfriend.
He has been charged under sex abuse and child protection laws.
Photographs released by local authorities show ramshackle makeshift furniture wedged between rocks in a cave where the young woman, now 28, was kept during the day.
At night, the shaman would allegedly take her back to his hut where he would sexually assault her.
If found guilty he could face 15 years behind bars.
