People enjoying the sea at Tajpur beach

About 170km by road from Kolkata, Tajpur is for those who want to stay away from the crowded Digha sea beach. The luxury resorts are set back from the beach, which gives you an opportunity to take short walks in between long hours of siesta. You may also avail the adventure sports opportunities; but do check if they are licenced operators and have all safety measures in place.

Bankiput is yet to find a place among the popular beaches of West Bengal but you can easily visit it from its better-known neighbour Junput, where you will find a state fisheries museum. Digha sea beach is about 40km away. Kolkata is 145km by road. You may also make an excursion to the Dariapur Lighthouse and the fishing harbour where the Rasulpur River meets the Bay of Bengal.

Bakkhali, about 132 km south of Kolkata, is a popular beach town very different from Digha beach. Located at the edge of the mangrove forests of the Sundarban, in the deltaic region, the water may appear muddy at times. Lying in the inter-tidal zone, the beach offers an insight into the local marine fauna. Basic accommodation. Frazergunge, located near Bakkhali, sports a seven km long tranquil beach at the edge of the fishing village. From here, you may take boat ride to the Jambu Dweep, an island popular with birders, especially in winter. The watch tower at Henry’s Island offers a panoramic view of the countryside and the sea.

Reliance Jio Offers Additional 10GB Free Data Add-On Pack, Details here

Reliance Jio has added a free 10GB data add-on pack for select customers on its network. However, several customers are assuming that the company has added the data add-on pack on the occasion of Holi, however, we got to know that the telco is adding the data add-on pack as a token of appreciation for using the JioTVapplication.

For the unaware, JioTV is the company’s Live TV streaming application with over 550 Live TV channels.

The 10GB data add-on pack will expire on March 27, 2018, for the users who received it.

That said, the addition of free add-on pack is completely an automated one, meaning some people will receive it and others may not. Nevertheless, you can try your luck by calling 1299 toll-free number to receive the 10GB add-on pack as several users on Twitter and Facebook are reporting that Jio has added 10GB free data to their account after calling the number.

And it works on top of your existing tariff plan. For example, if you’re on the Rs 149 prepaid plan, it offers 1.5GB data per day. If you complete the 1.5GB daily FUP limit, then you consume data from the 10GB add-on pack, as you might already be aware of.
