Four held for robbing and killing man at Tughlakabad

New Delhi, Jan 15 (PTI) Four men were arrested for allegedly robbing and killing a man in the Tughlakabad jungle, the police said today.

On January 13, a 21-year-old woman and her friend, Naresh, had gone to the jungle area near Tughlakabad Fort, through the Monkey Park, where they were surrounded by four men.

Three of the accused held them at knifepoint and made the woman remove her nose-pin and earrings, while the fourth asked Naresh to hand over his wallet and mobile phones, the police said.

As Naresh refused to oblige, one of the accused stabbed him in the chest and snatched his wallet and mobile phones.

The four accused then fled the spot. Naresh was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Shilpa Shinde Beat Hina Khan On Bigg Boss 11 Because Of A Few Thousand Votes?


Shilpa Shinde beat Hina Khan last night to win Bigg Boss 11. There was a tough fight between the two TV bahus after Puneesh Sharma and Vikas Gupta got evicted from the show on the finale. Though Hina got embroiled in a lot of controversies throughout the season, she managed to make it to the top two of Bigg Boss 11. It was a tough fight between Shilpa and Hina and Salman finally declared that it was the Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain who has emerged victorious. Soon after the show got over, in one of her first interviews, Hina spoke to the press and revealed that it was a matter of a few thousand votes between her and Shilpa.

Shilpa said, “I thought I will not make it to the finals, but I wanted to be in the top five. Coming to top two was also a big achievement for someone like me because I had expected to get eliminated mid-season.” When asked about what went wrong, Hina said, “Nothing went wrong. I had a conversation with Salman and Shilpa and Salman told us when it came to the number of votes, there was a difference of a few thousand between me and Shilpa’s votes.” She further added, “I think all the top four contestants are winners. Two weeks ago, Salman had told us, it all now depends on votes now. I and Vikas had a conversation once that Shilpa will win, but we then decided to play our game and we were competitive.”

HTET 2017: Answer Keys Released at bseh.org.in

New Delhi, Jan 15: The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH or HBSE) has released the OMR sheets and answer keys of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2017 at the official website – bseh.org.in.

The exam was held on December 23 and 24. Candidates  who have appeared in the examination can check the keys for level 1 (PRT), level 2 (TGT) and 3 (PGT) at the website itself.

Follow these simple steps to download answer keys

Log on to the official website bseh.org.in

Click on the link for admit card

Enter the required details

Click on submit

The answer keys will be displayed on the screen

Download the same and take a printout for future reference

Candidates can also pay Rs 100 online to get their OMR sheet . As per the reports, candidates can raise objection till January 22 by 5 pm. The results are likely to be declared by February 15.

UP Police Recruitment: Apply Online for Over 40,000 Vacancies

Lucknow, Jan 15: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on Sunday issued an advertisement for 41,520 posts. The advertisement stated that the latest recruitment drive will be conducted to fill posts in Uttar Pradesh Police and Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC). The process of online recruitment will begin on January 22 and the last date of applying is February 22.

The advertisement further stated that 23520 posts are reserved for civil police whereas 18000 posts are meant for PAC. Women candidates cannot apply for posts in the PAC.

Age limit: The candidate must be within the age group of 18-22 on July 1, 2018. Women candidates between the age group of 18-25 are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the intermediate exams.

Fee: The candidates are required to pay Rs 400 as the application fee which must be submitted till February 23.

Written Examination: The candidate will have to appear for the wriiten test. The board said the paper will of 300 marks and there is provision for negative marking too. The board will examine the certificates of the candidates before approving them for physical test.

Physical Examinations: The candidate will have to run for 4.8 kilometers in 25 minutes. Women candidates are required to run 2.4 kilometers in 14 minutes.

SSC MTS Results Likely to be Declared Today

New Delhi, Jan 15: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to declare the results of non-technical Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment exam on Monday. Candidates who have appeared for the test are advised to check the results at official website of the commission. The annual calendar of the commission mandates it to declare results today.

SSC MTS exam was conducted in September and October 2017. The commission had postponed the dates. The exam was originally scheduled to take place on April 20, May 14, May 28, June 5 and June 11. The commission had cancelled the exams after the reports of leaking of paper and exam key surfaced.

Step 3: two options will appear – write up and ‘results’
Step 4: Click on results to check your name and roll number
Step 5: To view cut-off marks category-wise, click on ‘write-up’

PSEB Date Sheet 2018 For Punjab Board Class 10th, 12th Exams Released

New Delhi, January 15: The PSEB Punjab Board Date Sheet 2018 has been released by the Punjab School Education Board for Class 10th and Class 12th on its official website pseb.ac.in.

The PSEB has released the exam schedule for regular as well as open school students as the exams for both will be conducted simultaneously across the state of Punjab.

The Class 10th examination is also set to commence from March 12 and will end on March 31. The examination for Class 12th will start from February 28 and will end on March 24.

Candidates who are preparing for Class 12th Exams (Senior Secondary) can download their date sheet from the below link:


According to official date sheets, the exams for Matriculation or class 10th will be organised in the morning session from 10 am to 1:15 pm while for Senior Secondary or class 12th exams are scheduled for afternoon session from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

Candidates will be given 15 minutes more time at the beginning of each exam to read and understand the question paper.

The usual time duration allotted to students is 3 hours for attempting each exam, however, for geometrical perspective and architectural drawing, the candidates will be given 4 hours to attempt their exam; and for electrical engineering, electronics engineering, building construction, mechanical engineering, engineering drawing and N.S.Q.F., candidates will be given 2 hours each.

Those candidates who appeared under the Physically Handicapped category will be given extra 20 minutes for each hour to attempt their exam papers.

SSC Result 2017: CGL Revised Result Declared

New Delhi, Jan 15: Staff Selection Commision (SSC) has finally declared the revised result for SSC CGL(Combined Graduate Level) Tier I 2017 examination. The candidates can check their result on the the official website of the Commission at ssc.nic.in.

Notably, the students who are qualified in Tier I will only be allowed to appear for the CGL Tier II and III examination.

Follow these steps and check your revised result of SSC CGL Tier I:

  • Click on the ‘results’ section on the homepage
  • ‘Write up’ and ‘Results’ – 2 options will be reflected
