Karnan issues non-bailable warrants against 7 SC judges, including CJI

Justice Karnan had earlier said he will not appear before a medical board for examining his health as directed by the apex court.

New Delhi/Kolkata: Calcutta High Court judge Justice CS Karnan on Tuesday ordered issuance of non-bailable warrants against seven judges of the Supreme Court, including the CJI, for not being represented before him, even as the Attorney General said he was not sure whether the "gentleman" would undergo medical tests as ordered by the apex court.

Appealing to Vishwas to raise his issues within the party forum, Sisodia said the foot soldiers of the party are being effected by this ‘On Air’ tussle.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Tuesday dubbed the victory of the party in the just- concluded Delhi civic polls as a "stamp of approval" for the Modi government, saying it would serve as the "foundation" for a BJP government in Delhi. Shah also took a veiled jibe at Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal for his accusations of EVM tampering, saying the MCD poll victory of the saffron party had put an end to the "atmosphere of negativity and non- performance".

Kumar Vishwas attacks AAP ‘coterie’ again, Sisodia says comments will benefit ‘other party’

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas alleged on Tuesday that some party leaders were targeting him from the behind the ‘mask’ of Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan even as deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that speaking on TV will only damage the party and demotivate workers. Sisodia also said everyone knows that his comments would help ‘a particular party and power’.

Minutes after Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas broke down before the media saying he won’t apologise for the video, in which he had criticised the party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia hit back at him saying he was hurting the party’s image, a CNN-News 18 report said. Speaking to media persons, Manish Sisodia today said that the AAP leader was making things personal and nobody had asked for his resignation. He also slammed Kumar Vishwas for speaking to the media and said that party workers are losing confidence because of this penchant for speaking to the media about crucial party matters.
