Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday wrote to the State Election Commission to conduct MCD polls using paper ballot instead of electronic voting machines (EVMs). Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken was the first one to raise the demand and wrote to the CM on Tuesday stating that "serious doubts have cropped up in the minds of the voters as to the free and fair nature of the electoral process". The CM then wrote to the commission.

On Tuesday, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) directed all hotels, restaurants and eateries within its jurisdiction to make their restrooms accessible to the public from 1st April onwards.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday told the Delhi High Court that it wants to have a another look at the joint settlement filed Tata Sons and its erstwhile Japanese telecom partner NTT DoCoMo for enforcement of the $1.17-billion arbitration award by the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Justice S Muralidhar, however, refused to agree with the RBI stand on revisiting the issue, saying "there is no point in going over it all over again". "RBI has already undertaken the exercise (of looking into the award) twice over. It might be better to tell the court whether there is any statutory provision or regulation barring transfer of money overseas under the award," the judge said, adding that while both companies had agreed on a settlement, the only issue left to be decided is whether the RBI saw any impediment in the transfer of money.
The son of a Delhi Police sub-inspector was allegedly stabbed by a group of boys in southeast Delhi’s Pul Prahladpur area. The incident happened last night and it is suspected that the attack was a fallout of a rivalry over some property issue but police is looking into other angles. The victim, Surender, is currently undergoing treatment. His father, Lahore Singh (55) is posted in the PCR unit and lives in Prem Nagar in Lal Kuan area.

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) Tuesday made it mandatory for all hotels and restaurants located under its jurisdiction to let the general public use their toilets. The recommendation to explore the possibility was made to the SDMC by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. The restaurant management has been given the discretion to charge up to Rs 5 per person to cover the charges towards maintenance and cleaning.
